Breast Augmentation Before and After

This page shows a range of before and after breast implant photos and videos for my breast augmentation surgeries.

There are a range of photos and videos available for you to have a look at. Each patient is assigned a number so that when you come for a consultation with me you can refer to the patients that you like and we can discuss the specific implants.

How have I organised this page?

I have a massive amount of material to show you.

  1. The first section of this page has a wide range of breast augmentation patients. I have tried to include case studies for the patients and video footage as well.
  2. I have included revision beast surgery cases in the second section of this before and after page. As one of the leading experts in breast augmentation surgery I often get patients coming to me to have revision surgery. This type of surgery can be quite difficult as there is scar tissue from the previous operation and it can sometimes be difficult to know what techniques the previous surgeon has used. I’m always happy to try to help women that have had a poor outcome from their surgery elsewhere.

“I hope you find this information useful. If you would like more information, or would like to come and see me, send us an email on the form below”.

Patient 3001 Breast Augmentation

Ira, a mother in her 30’s, came to us unsure if breast augmentation surgery was for her. After hearing about a friend’s poor experience with another surgeon, she was hesitant to commit.

After coming in for just one consultation, and seeing what her new breasts would look like in our state-of-the-art 3D Crisalix simulator, Ira was convinced that she needed to have her A-cup breasts enlarged to a C or D-cup.

In just a few weeks she was on the operating table, and out of the hospital just a few hours later. She loves her new D-cup breasts, and we’re not surprised.

What’s more, she was back to living her active lifestyle in a matter of days, and participating in strenuous exercise in just a few weeks.

Even though she had children, her breasts never really grew any bigger. She was quite unhappy with this. She choose a teardrop shaped implant, high profile 410 ml, under the muscle.*

Vivienne (name changed for privacy) had 335 ml Opticon style polyurethane breast implants (wide, tear-drop high profile implants), which were placed under Vivienne’s muscles. She went from a B cup to a DD cup.

Vivienne was unsure of what shape breast she wanted. Dr. Beldholm worked with her at her consultation and spent a lot of time discussing her concerns and answering her questions. Together, they determined that wider, teardrop-shaped implants were ideal for Vivienne, as they would result in more cleavage and a lower risk of complications.*

Patient 3007 Breast Implants Before And After

patient 3007 breast augmentation

Tricia (Name changed for privacy) had 335 ml wide based tear drop polyurethane breast implants.

Tricia was a 21 year-old single woman without kids. Tricia was a natural A-cup, but she has always wanted larger breasts, thinking that a D-cup would suit her frame. She had considered cosmetic surgery, but felt nervous and unsure of whether it was right for her. It was only after she saw how amazing two of her friends looked after getting tear drop implants that she was fully convinced.

During her initial consultation, Tricia explained what she was looking for to Dr. Beldholm. Specifically, she wanted to achieve larger but still natural-looking cleavage. After reviewing her options, Tricia initially decided that the 300 ml tear drop shaped polyurethane silicone would be the best fit for her. Dr. Beldholm, understanding that Tricia’s goal was to augment her breasts while maintaining a natural appearance, thought that she should consider a number of different options. Tricia agreed that a visual would be helpful, so in order to give her a more accurate picture of what different implants would look like, Dr. Beldholm used the Crisalix 3D breast augmentation simulator.

Once she was able to get a visual of what her breast implants would look like both bare and in a variety of clothing, Tricia decided that 300ml was not large enough to give her the desired appearance. Instead, she preferred the 335 ml tear drop, which gave her a D-cup. Tricia underwent her procedure and recovered quickly returning home that same day and to work that same week. Within a month, she was back to operating at one hundred percent.*

(Individual results may vary. See our disclaimer)*

This lady had always been small chested. She had two children, and during pregnancy and breastfeeding she was quite happy with her breasts, as they had gone up to a C-cup and were nice and full. Unfortunately, this did not last for her. In fact she noticed that after she stopped breastfeeding they actually got more empty than before. She wanted a full C-cup. (Individual results may vary. See our disclaimer)*

This young woman had always had B cup breasts. In addition to having small breasts, she was also unhappy with the shape of her breasts. She had slightly herniated nipples and she had slightly tuberous breasts.

What does this mean?

Tuberous breasts is a congenital condition (present since birth). The breasts fail to develop normally during puberty and look abnormal. There are several other names for this condition including;

  • Constricted breasts
  • Snoopy breasts
  • Herniated areolar complexes
  • conical breast
  • domen nipple
  • lower pole hypoplasia
  • hypoplastic breasts

There are many different ways of classifying this condition as well. This young woman only had a very mild case of constriction and herniated areola.

She choose a 345 ml high profile, natural implants, inserted under the muscle.*

PATIENT 1050; POINTY BREASTS WANTING MORE NATURAL RESULT

PATIENT 1085: SMALL BREASTS BUT AT HIGH RISK OF DOUBLE FOLD

(Individual results may vary. See our disclaimer)*

This young lady had always had small breasts. She was a B-cup in size. She wanted round breast implants. She has a very tight breast fold. As can be seen in the side view of the photos. During our consultation, I recommended for her to go with the wider teardrop shaped breast implant, as this would minimise the chance of her to getting a double fold (double bubble). However, she was very keen on the round breast implants, and after much discussion, she decided that she wanted to take the risk of a double fold. She choose 380 ml round high profile, polyurethane silicone, breast implants. These were inserted under the muscle.

During the operation I did extensive scoring of the lower breast tissues, to try to avoid a double fold. As can be seen on the side view, the breasts are slightly flat (which is a very mild double fold). *

PATIENT 1059: SMALL CHESTED YOUNG WOMAN WANTING ROUND IMPLANTS

(Individual results may vary. See our disclaimer)*

This 21 year old lady came to see me to get bigger breasts. She did not want to go massive, but she did want to do the round implants, to get a more full result. She had a significant risk of double fold, as her breast fold was firm and her breasts were hanging over the fold. To prevent a double fold, I did extensive scoring of the lower breast tissue during the operation. This has helped stretch the lower pole of the breast out.

She choose a 330 ml high profile, round polyurethane breast implant, under the muscle.*

PATIENT 1060: LARGE TEARDROP SHAPED IMPLANTS

(Individual results may vary. See our disclaimer)*

The same implant in 10 different women will give 10 different results. This is why it is so important to take your time to choose a breast implant, and also use the 3D imaging that I have available in the office in Newcastle and Lorn. This lady chose a 530 ml implant, which in a lot of smaller women would look absolutely massive. However, in this lady it suits her proportions, and was the result that she was after.

She choose 530 ml high profile teardrop shaped implants under the muscle.*

PATIENT 1064: YOUNG A CUP WOMAN WANTING A FULL D CUP

(Individual results may vary. See our disclaimer)*

For women with a small bust, finding a well-fitting bra can be a long and difficult process. In addition to slipping straps and insufficient support, wearing the wrong type of bra can also leave you feeling less confident in your appearance.

One of our recent patients, Vanessa, had been experiencing hardships like these for quite awhile. Her bust, an A-B cup size, was making it difficult to find a bra that didn’t feel loose in certain areas and led to her considering undergoing breast augmentation for quite awhile.

After hearing about Specialist Cosmetic Surgery, Vanessa finally decided to tackle her problem head on and booked a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Beldholm. During their meeting, Vanessa expressed her desire to have C-D cup sized breasts that have a natural look to them without appearing too big. After outlining her specific surgery options, Dr. Beldholm and Vanessa set a date for the procedure.

Vanessa’s breast augmentation procedure went off without a hitch and was performed with “opticon style” 360mL polyurethane teardrop breast implants inserted under the muscles. Recovery for the procedure was so simple that Vanessa was discharged on the same day of surgery, and was able to go out shopping afterwards!

Vanessa’s bust is now a comfortable C cup and She’s finally able to find the perfect bra!*

PATIENT 1070: ROUND IMPLANTS POST PREGNANCY

(Individual results may vary. See our disclaimer)*

This lady had several grown up children. When she was younger, she had quite nice perky D cup breasts. However, after breast feeding and children, they had lost all their fullness, and she really disliked their saggy look.

She wanted round implants and much bigger.

This is a patient that has a very high risk of, what is called, a double fold. A double fold occurs when the breast fold does not stretch out over the implant, and you end up with a double fold, also called a double bubble. It looks really bad, and is very difficult to fix.

So I was very worried that this lady would end up with this issue. I saw her on several occasions, and we discussed this in detail. She insisted that she really wanted to go with the round big implants. At the end of the day, it is your choice, which implant you want to go with.

During the operation I did extensive scoring in a radial pattern of the lower pole, to hopefully, stretch the tissues out.

She had chosen a 485 ml extra high, round polyurethane breast implant.

The good news is that all went well. She has a very slight hint of a double fold, that you can see on the side views.*

Heidi (name changed for privacy) is 27 years old and a mother of 2 great children. She breast fed both children for 9 months and then noticed a dramatic change in her breasts.

While breastfeeding may be an integral part of motherhood, it can take its toll on a woman’s body. Heidi experienced some of these drawbacks firsthand, and came to us for a solution.

After breastfeeding her child for nine months, Heidi noticed a change in her breasts’ shape and lift. Once perky and fuller, Heidi’s breasts had begun to sag, as well as lose some of their original volume. In addition to impacting her confidence, the change also altered the fit of her clothes, making Heidi’s wardrobe no longer suited to her body.

Fed up with feeling uncomfortable in her own skin, Heidi took action by contacting Dr. Beldholm and expressing her concerns along with her desired results of perkier, natural looking DD cup breasts.

There are many options for breast implants and it can be quite difficult to choose a nice implant for your body. That is why the consultation with Dr Beldholm is so important and why we spend a significant time with you doing 3D imaging, looking at implants and finding the right one just for you.

Heidi wanted a D to a DD cup size and she also wanted a natural results. She noted that she did not want the “stuck on” orange result.

Dr. Beldholm opted to use teardrop shaped polyurethane silicone implants (435 extra high, round based teardrop, inserted under the muscle) to provide a wider base as well as ample cleavage, resulting in natural-looking, full breasts.*

This is quite a difficult case to get right.

This sort of case is when you need 10 years plus of experience as a cosmetic surgeon. I do a lot of post pregnancy women.

It is very common to loose a lot of fullness after breast feeding and pregnancy.

Patients that definitely need a breast augmentation and lift are easy.

Patients that can get with breast implants only are also easy.

However there is a large group in between this that are borderline. Every case is different and there is no rules that can tell you one way or another.

Amy (name changed for privacy) is a 28-year old mother who consulted me to improve her appearance. After giving birth to three children, her A-cup breasts became saggy and less desirable. She started to hide her chest and was embarrassed about her appearance.

During her consultation, she expressed her desire of increasing her breast size to a D-cup. She wanted them to be fuller and perkier.

Amy had been to see another plastic surgeon and was told she definitely needed a lift. She was not happy with this as she did not want the scaring that was associated with this and came to see me for a second opinion.

The nipple was right at the level of the fold and so she was quite borderline. The good thing was that she had minimal stretch marks and her skin was very firm.

I felt that she would have some looseness after a breast augmentation and I discussed this in detail with her. She was willing to accept a small amount of looseness as long as she got fuller and lifted breasts.

We also discussed that if she was not happy with the result than there was always an option to come back and have a small lift.

There are also several options to try to get the best possible results after pregnancy.

Putting the implants above the muscle will give the best possible lift, however most women post pregnancy that I see have very little tissue in their superior pole of the breast and there is a high chance that the implant edge would be visible.

The other option is to but the implants under the muscle but to do a dual plane. This means that you get the benefit of going above the muscle as well as the benefit of going under. This is the approach I did for this women.

The operation went very well and I inserted a 450 ml wide teardrop implant under the muscle and did a plane above the muscle as well to create the dual plane.

After the operation she was a D cup.*

Pregnancy is an important milestone for every woman. However one of the most common concerns postpartum women have involves their breasts. Right after pregnancy and breastfeeding their children, women can end up with smaller and saggier breasts.

This is one of the reasons why Liz, a 50-year old woman, came to visit Dr. Beldholm’s clinic. At her age, Liz thought it’s the right time to work on her appearance and enhance her breasts the way she wants. Back in the day, she was confident with her C cup breasts. However, after raising her children, who are now 20 and 17 years old, she lost the fullness and perkiness she once had.

Liz was quite unsure about the size she should get for the implants. Initially, she wanted to increase her breast size bigger than a C to D cup. Understanding her concern, Dr. Beldholm encouraged Liz to try on different breast sizes so she can get a better idea of what she wanted.

After visiting the clinic multiple times she settled for 380 ml extra high polyurethane breast implants (wide teardrop shaped). Dr. Beldholm placed these implants under her chest muscles to give her the D cup she wanted.*

Heather (name changed for privacy reasons) had natural B-cup breasts prior to giving birth. After her pregnancy, her breasts became saggy and less perky. It took her three years before she finally went to see Dr. Beldholm.

During her consultation, Heather talked about how she wanted to get bigger and better-looking breasts. She requested that 565mL implants be used for her procedure.

Dr. Beldholm, with his expertise and experience, thought otherwise. He mentioned that the size would be out of proportion to Heather’s body. Aside from that, using that size of implants can also cause a lot of post-surgical problems.

Dr. Beldholm fully explained his concerns to Heather. Once she understood this, she decided on getting 465mL implants instead (tear drop shaped, polyurethane breast implants).*

Leah picked Dr. Beldholm for her initial consultation.

Upon consultation, Leah opened up about what it’s like to be the only one with small breasts in the family. Both her sisters and mother have E cup breasts. She also had some minor size differences in the breasts, which is very common.

Dr. Beldholm, with his experience and expertise, established that even though Leah’s breasts were of different sizes, it wasn’t enough use differently sized implants. He performed the procedure using round 485 polyurethane breast implants.

This increased Leah’s breast size to an E cup.*

Jane Moncrieff (name changed for privacy), a recent patient of ours, had been contemplating breast augmentation surgery for quite some time.

From childhood and into adulthood, she had always been very flat chested. Overtime, she hoped that her breasts would eventually grow into a well-developed size, however, that never happened. At 28-years-old, she decided to get breast implants and sought the help of Dr. Beldholm and his talented, caring staff.

During her consultation, she stressed to Dr. Beldholm that she wanted her new breasts to match her frame. She also wanted her chest to still look very natural. She made it clear to Dr. Beldholm that she was not interested in very large implants.

In the end, with the help of Dr. Beldholm’s guidance, Jane settled on 335 mL Opticon teardrop implants. Placed under her breast muscle for a natural-looking appearance.

Today, Jane is a C-cup.*

Children can cause some serious changes in your body. The two most common areas that are affected are the tummy and breasts. Tummy gets stretched and muscle separation is quite common. The most common operations in women post pregnancy are:

  • Breast augmentation
  • Tummy tuck
  • Breast augmentation and lift
  • Labiaplasty

Dr Beldholm sees a lot of women post pregnancy. Many women elect to have a combination of these operation done to minimise the recovery time and also the cost.

Lexy (name changed for privacy) was a bikini model before she got married and had children. However, after giving birth, she lost a lot of fullness in her breasts.

Not only did she loose the fullness but they also became saggy and she found that she could not get any dresses to look nice.

Because of how it has impacted her life, Lexy consulted Dr. Beldholm about how she can bring back her breasts’ fullness and perkiness. In early 2015, lexy underwent her breast augmentation together with her tummy tuck.

During the operation, Dr. Beldholm created incisions under her breasts and used 420ml Opticon wide teardrop-shaped implants. These implants contain cohesive silicone and polyurethane covering.

Looking at her breasts you can see that she has very strong breast folds and that the nipples sit close to her breast fold. She is really very borderline for needing a lift. Because of her strong breast fold she is also high risk of a double fold. The left breast fold had to be lower around 2 cm and during the operation Dr Beldholm noted that there was in fact a double fold present. to try to release this she had extensive scoring of the lower breast tissue in a radial pattern and she also had part of the double fold excised. That is why the scar is more prominent on the left side.

After just about four weeks post operatively, Lexy showed a dramatic improvement.

She went interstate 6 weeks after her operation and did not attend any further follow up appointments, however Dr Beldholm did several phone consultations with her to make sure there was no issues.*

PATIENT 3045: Symmastia developed after previous breast augmentation surgery

patient 3045 breast augmentation before and after

375 cc smooth silicon implants replaced with 360 cc wide based (opticon style) teardrop polyurethane breast implants.

Sasha (name changed for privacy) used to dream about getting bigger breasts. Because of this, she decided to see a plastic surgeon and undergo breast enhancement surgery.

For her first operation, her plastic surgeon used 375 cc smooth mentor implants. They were placed under her chest muscles to get an excellent result.

However, instead of getting perkier breasts, Sasha developed synmastia 6 months after the surgery (also referred to as uniboob). Her breasts felt sorer and she became very unhappy with how they looked.

As a solution, she decided to undergo another procedure. This time, it was with Dr. Beldholm. To repair the undesirable effects of her first surgery, the patient’s implants were removed and replaced with polyurethane breast implants. The tissue in the middle of the chest was stitched down to re-create the cleavage.

Sasha recovered well from the surgery and experienced no issues. She was able to get back to exercise without any pain after 4 weeks.*
