All women want to look their best at any age. When you are in your teens and early 20’s all you need to do is apply make up and make sure you go to the hairdresser to look your best.
As the late 20’s and early 30’s approach maybe those early frown, smile and forehead lines start appearing and you start using muscle relaxant injections to soften your features. The skin may be starting to show early signs of aging, so you start attending a dermal therapist to freshen your skin up with laser treatments, microdermabrasion and other skin treatments.
As the late 30’s and early 40’s approach, the ageing process leads to loss of volume in the face and perhaps slightly deeper wrinkles and jowls. This is when you start getting dermal fillers to rejuvenate your features and restore lost volume.
Then in your mid to late 40’s you may notice that despite all the non-invasive cosmetic treatments you have been having, you start noticing the skin sagging and the neck getting a bit looser. This is when you consider a mini-facelift, and if there is significant loose neck skin, adding a neck lift to this as well. You may also have noticed that you have started developing a double chin. This can be treated with either liposuction under the chin or non-invasive injections now available.
In your 50’s and 60’s the skin may sag even more and you may consider a full facelift. The majority of men and women who come to see Dr Beldholm in their 70’s require a full facelift, combined with a neck lift and liposuction, for the best result.
